You might like tea except it makes you have to pee... :-P

My only food aversion seems to be eggs, which I had craved in the beginning. Not wanting chocolate? That's insane!

Our bed isn't up against a wall so we don't need to switch sides. I do have to watch the dog as I step out to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night as he sometimes leaves his bed (near my side) and sleeps against the bed on the floor. He's my baby. :)

I hear ya on the exhaustion. I had it hit around 3 pm daily but the sucky thing was, I was stuck at work. There were days I swear I could've shut my eyes and snoozed right there.Staceyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01492898465897070415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31651336.post-1158153907244921862006-09-13T09:25:00.000-04:002006-09-13T09:25:00.000-04:00Hope the appointment goes well! Your post made me ...Hope the appointment goes well!

Your post made me laugh. Ahhh...let me think back on all the things Lois LOVED to eat until that pregnancy hit. Watermelon, gummy bears, coffee, chocolate...and plenty more. All those things turned her stomach and I spent many hours patrolling the aisles of our grocery store trying to find something that didn't disgust her.

As for the tired thing, ditto. Lois is a "doer". She's usually completed 145 tasks by the time she is done for the day. The first trimester, she completed 3-4 tasks a day: waking up, getting to work, getting home from work and sleeping.

And listen to Estelle, switch sides. We slept for 6 years in a certain spooning position. From the beginning of the pregnancy, Lois (a) did not want to be touched very much and (b) didn't find any comfort in the side she slept on anymore.

This too shall pass, but EVERY nurse and doctor at our OB's office said "oh she's sick and exhausted!?!? That's wonderful, that's a great sign!"

Funny thing this pregnancy stuff. Best of luck getting through this part. At least it is all those little sacrifices to help grow a healthy baby, right?Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01837343422358215064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31651336.post-1158112619890055332006-09-12T21:56:00.000-04:002006-09-12T21:56:00.000-04:00That is a bummer about the chocolate. Here's hoping that that goes away as quickly as it appeared.

Fingers are crossed for a positive visit!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31651336.post-1158086814738664272006-09-12T14:46:00.000-04:002006-09-12T14:46:00.000-04:00Ah...I remember everything you are talking about.....Ah...I remember everything you are talking about...except that my aversions were to chicken and eggs. Ironic, isn't it?!
Good for you for listening to your body and napping when you need to. Your progesterone level is definitely rising; thus the absolute need for you to crash into bed.
I also recommend switching sides now. Jeff and I did that early on in my pregnancy as well. The switch actually put me further from the bathroom...not so pleasant on my fifth trip in five hours...but it did put me right next to the bassinet. It might take some getting used to, but you'll be glad you did it.
Finally, good luck at your appt. tomorrow. I am soooo excited for you!!!! I can't wait to hear all about it.
Love,
HEthan Barry's Mommahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07334306171838948004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31651336.post-1158084357642266552006-09-12T14:05:00.000-04:002006-09-12T14:05:00.000-04:00Switch sides! Baby boy sleeps with us, but his crib is on my side, and basically acts as a bedrail to keep him from falling off since he prefers to sleep with me.
Anyway, getting to the save the house part. We have an OLD house with plaster walls. Jean used to wall as support to get up from bed and to lie down. Now mind you Charlie was born at 43 weeks so she was VERY pregnant for a VERY long time.
And she cracked the wall.
Our plaster wall now has a large crack from the floor to about 4 feet up, with an indentation of where she used to put all her weight to support herself.
Definitely switch sides.Estellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12133147419963948340noreply@blogger.com
