Quick Update

Yesterday and today, Kylie is loving her finger foods. In fact, the only way we were able to feed her breakfast this morning was to give her a banana puff and then a spoonful of oatmeal. Then a puff and a spoon of cereal. Well, you get the idea.

Two weeks ago, I tried to give her a small bit of peach from a peach cup and she looked at me in horror. Yesterday, she ate over 20 small peach bites. She's been fussy while eating strained foods. Seems like she wants to gum her food instead.

She's still rolling around on the floor to get to what she wants. She's not up on her hands and knees yet so crawling may be a few weeks away.

Ever since Kylie's cold and the time change, her sleep has been a little off. She's going to sleep at 6pm like usual but she's waking up at 4:30am instead of her usual 5:30 - 6:00. Hopefully, she'll get back on schedule soon.

Here's some pictures from this morning.

Love the outfit and the pics. :)

Riley still loves rolling around everywhere. It's a great way to get around. ;)

It was so wonderful to see the three of you this evening! Wendy, thanks for the help. :)

I am very impressed with Kylie's eating skills. Sounds like she is a real dynamo. I only wish Ethan took to new food so easily. Good for all three of you.

Love,
H

Go Kylie! She is amazingly cute as always. I love seeing your photos of her!

On the eating - I had a similar problem with my daughter. At some point (earlier than I would have guessed) she refused baby food. She also refused to eat unless it was something she could feed herself. My older boys would let me shovel in the food no matter what it was.

And I'm impressed with the finger foods! We are still at cereal and simple veggies. My little man hasn't gotten the concept of chewing food. He still sucks it off the spoon like it's a nipple.

Way to go on the rolling! It's so much more graceful. :) I love how each child finds their own way of getting around. Lil K doesn't roll much, and as you probably read, my daughter never really crawled on her hands and knees. A friend of ours has a daughter who did a sitting bum-scoot instead of crawling. Maybe rolling is the new crawling as far as Kylie sees it? Before you know she'll be walking and then, heaven-fobid, running. :)
