Christmas trees and kisses

Kylie and I both came down with colds this weekend. But Karen and I got our Christmas tree up nonetheless. It was so worth it to see Kylie's face when she first saw her tree.

There are more Kylie and tree pictures here. Go check them out--they are so sweet!

On Saturday night, all three of us were in Kylie's room playing before her bedtime. Kylie was nestled on Karen's lap. As I left the room to go draw Kylie's bath, I turned at the door and made an extravagant kiss face. And Kylie blew me one back! She sucked in her cheeks, puckered her lips and made the smacking sound. I blew another kiss and Kylie blew me one again.

Karen and I both looked at each other with goofy grins and watery eyes. I tell you, the littlest things about living with Kylie can touch me so deeply.

The only downer of this weekend (other than our awful colds) is that three of our Christmas cards were returned for insufficient postage. The cards aren't weirdly sized or heavy or anything. I'm really worried that all 50 of our cards are going to come back to us, thus negating the fact that I got them in the mail the first week of December. Cross your fingers that the other cards go on to their destinations!

As for project Monday, I finished this 12 x 24 spread Sunday night. Click here for a closer look.

And I finished the body of my Retrograde sweater. On to the sleeves!

I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend!

We got our card last week, (thank you by the way...) Wonder what was up with the others? You used a Forever stamp right? I would take you returned cards in to the Post Office and inquire.

That picture of Kylie and the tree warmed my heart! I love checking your blog to see her smiling face. I'm glad the holiday season has found you all in good spirits (other than that pesky cold).

We got our beautiful card too...so no worries there.

Beautiful scrapbook spread, as always. I hope that Ethan doesn't get mad at me one day for not doing the same for him.

I absolutely adore the Christmas tree pictures. They are priceless. I wonder if Kylie will start rolling under it since rolling is her thing she loves to do these days?

Isn't there something with postage now where it's not just the weight but also the size?

Tis the season to be sick. :P

Love the pictures, especially the last one where you can see how small she is against the tree.
