Well Kylie is up on her elbows and knees and moving forward. She's getting that belly off the ground. She still rolls when she wants to get somewhere fast. But she's learning that crawling is the best way to go forward.
I'm holding off calling it an "official" crawl because she's not on her hands yet and because she only will inch one or two knees forward before flopping back down.
But we are so very tickled with this progress.
As soon as she's really up and moving, we'll post a video of her.
**Here's a question for you: Do you feed your little one bread? And if so, is it whole wheat bread or toast or bagels or something else?
Lastly, here's a scrapbook page.

Love the scrapbook page - I feel like I"m reading my own! LOL (as you know, I'm the book lover, too)
We let K have bread - really small bits - she LOVES English muffins, pancakes, french toast, and just today, banana bread! she couldn't get enough!
I tried whole wheat toast with Chicka but she wasn't keen on it. I gave her small pieces of a pancake though and she seemed to really like it.
I really love the pages that you do. Hopefully I'll have some time one of these days to try to work on one myself :)
Thaya loves bread and pancakes. We give her small bits (it seems to expand a little when she gums it), and we give her the inside of bagels, toast (with a vegan butter substitute that we use), and muffins. We make sure that anything we give her is unbleached and whole wheat, but we don't have to try very hard because that is all that we eat ourselves :)
In my opinion, whole wheat is best because if their little tummies are going to have the bread in it they should get the nutrition too!
Yay on the almost-crawling!
We give Riley bread products but really small pieces as stuff like white bread can make them choke. We give her melba toast, small bits of toast, pieces of bagel with cream cheese (just the inside, soft part)... Riley will eat pretty much anything these days.
LOL! Don't rush it! Once they start crawling, nothing is safe!!
He give Andrew bread all the time. Maybe we started when he was about 5 months old. We'd give him pizza crust and when it got soggy, we'd take it away. Other than that, just tiny pieces. We also found these wonderful crackers called Mum-Mums that were at Walmart. Rice crackers that pretty much disintegrate in their mouths. Andrew loved them!
We give M whole wheat toast, multi-grain crackers from Trader Joe's, Mum-Mums, pita chips and tortillas. He gums them until a small piece comes off and then he swallows them. We haven't had any choking issues (so far).
She'll get the hang of crawling in a day or so. You'll be amazed how fast she becomes proficient at it.
I'm doing my best to avoid processed/white flour, sugar, and partially hydrogenated stuff. Pepridge farm has a good seeless rye breat that I eat so I'll probably give that to them. I've been trying to give them pieces of food every day but they just don't get it. They make a bad face and push it out with their tongue. It's funny.
Beautiful page!
Can I ask you what program you use to do your scrapbooking? It's just so beautiful!
She is such a doll!
We give Erik whole wheat toast with jam, cut in small pieces. He's almost a year old and has been having toast for a few months and loves it. It's his favourite breakfast. He also likes toasted English muffins and bagels, although we introduced these later as they're harder to chew. Just make sure the pieces are really little.
Hi Dunn Family,
Thanks for your comment. I've sent you an email but to answer your question---
I use the software Adobe Photoshop to do my digital scrapbooking. Although Photoshop Elements works just as well! I do the pages on my computer and then upload them to Flickr to share with you.
I have the pages printed at my nearby Costco store and then put them in page protectors in a scrapbooking album here at home.
If you are just getting started with digital scrapbooking, I heartily recommend taking Jessica Sprague's "Up and Running class" You can find her website at: http://jessicasprague.com/.
I plan to take her next class "Now we're Running" when it is offered in 2008.
My favorite website for digital papers so far has been Jen Wilson designs. I think her work is beautiful.
