Just look at this picture.
This was taken at lunchtime. Kylie had pulled apart her peanut butter cracker and put both halves back on her tray. I asked her three times to eat it and she didn't. So I said, "That looks so good!" and I reached over and popped a half in my mouth. There was a two second delay, just long enough for me to steady the camera while chewing. And then Kylie gave me this fantastic expression which said, "You did NOT just take something from my tray!"
But no worries. She was pleased as punch to eat a few pretzels instead.
So do you steal your kid's food too?
By the way, Kylie has started wanting to sit in our regular dining chairs rather than her chair with the booster seat. She's very well behaved as long as I'm sitting with her. But the moment I get up, she wants to stand in the chair or rub food on the back of the chair like it is fingerpaint.
Do your kids still sit in their boosters?
Do you ask so many questions on your blog?

She is so pretty- I love the curls.
I don't ask questions on my blog- maybe I will start! :)
I steal my kids food if it looks good too.
Taya does not sit in a booster anymore- but I think she may be a little older.
Kids are great- we had them to entertain us right?
That's a fabulous photo!
Edden sits in a kaboost-ed dining room chair these days (http://www.kaboost.com/). It works great and it's easier for me to clean a regular dining room chair than a booster. And he gets to feel just like everybody else, while still being high enough that he eats a little more neatly than without the kaboost.
I steal my daughters food all the time.. she's one of those "non eaters" so taking her food entices her to eat it.. lol Heaven forbid someone else get it.
My daughter has never used a chair/booster.... we have a tiny condo and never use our kitchen table. Instead we all sit cross legged around my coffee table and eat in the living room.. hahaha someday I vow to eat at a table, but for now.. this works. :)
very cute expression, my daughter says AYEEEEEEEEE when i steal something form her plate .. She still sits on a booster coz our chairs are cream colored micro suede not kid friendly and they are really low from the table for her ...
very nice pictures once again !
That face is priceless.
Chicka still sits in her highchair 'cause she's so busy. She'll sit in her booster too if I strap her in and on rare occasions will not wreak havoc when I do let her sit on a regular chair.
hahah! I love that face! I stole food from my niece's plate one time and she told on me to her mother! lol It was funny... lol
love that first picture! lol
i don't steal my kid's food but have never been tempted to. maybe if it was something good that i didn't have on my plate.
riley likes switching seats sometimes while eating. she'll move her plate and cup over to the chair beside her and climb over. she is constantly monkeying around on the chairs at other times too and has fallen twice.
that picture is priceless!
She is thinking 'oh no, you didn't?!?'
I try to steal Andrew's food if I think it will get him to want it more. It doesn't always work. Sometimes, he wants it back after it's long gone...
We got rid of the booster seat early because Andrew wouldn't have anything to do with it. I want to say he was about 17 months old. But I'm not so sure of the timing...
We sometimes try to steal Erik's food to get him to eat but it doesn't work. He doesn't care. LOL. But what works for us is saying, "I can eat this bite faster than you" and then he thinks it's fun to get his piece of food into his mouth faster than you get yours in.
Love that photo. Priceless.
Erik still sits in his booster but sometimes wants to sit on the chairs instead. We sometmes let him if he's not eating something messy. It's a pain to let him sit in the regular chairs because he's bouncing all over the place, standing up, etc.
Thaya saw that first picture and made the same face! So funny!
Thaya is refusing her booster. We can bribe her into it, but I hate to do it. She keeps saying, "own chair! own chair!" and tries to pull out a big chair of her own. We decided to get her a little kids table to sit next to our table. We'll see if that helps.
What a HOOT! Thanks for the laugh. That Kylie is something else.
I don't comment often but I do look forward to the near daily Kylie fix!
I keep coming back to look at the picture because it makes me smile.
