First Easter Egg Hunt

Today we took Kylie to her first Easter Egg Hunt.

This morning I gave Kylie her Easter basket and told her that the Easter Bunny had been to our park, left her some eggs, and she needed to pick them up and put them in her basket. Well she was raring to go! The Egg Hunt was held at a nearby park and sponsored by our Parks and Recreation District. Over 100 people registered for the hunt and we were running a bit late this morning, so there was only time to fire off a few pictures of Kylie in her Easter dress.

Then we bundled her up in her Easter coat and hat and got ready to have some fun. The Hunt was open for kids from 1 - 5 but different age groups were in different sections. Here, Kylie is waiting (a little impatiently) at the start gate of our 1 - 2 1/2 year section.

A big Easter Bunny came out and gave the whistle and off we went!

This little girl was on a mission! She needed no help or encouragement from us to gather up all the eggs she saw!

Mommy! Let me go. I think I see another egg!

It only took a few minutes for the kids to clear the field. And our Kylie gathered 18 eggs in her basket! Afterwards, we sat Kylie down on the nearby see-saws and went through her eggs.

In addition to lots of chocolate, Kylie won two prize eggs.

The prizes were two cute bunny purses. One had a package of peeps. The other had a pad of paper and pencil.

Before we left, Kylie hugged the Easter Bunny and said, "Thank you Easter Bunny Rabbit".

What a fantastic first Easter Egg Hunt!

That is adorable. Kylie is so pretty. She looks like a little English girl in that beautiful dress, hat and coat. Shes a doll.
Next year our Kayla will be old enough to egg hunt!

Hey there -- just found your blog the other day and have been absolutely *enchanted*. Your little girl is so precious!!

My partner and I have been together almost two years now and I'm hoping that in another couple of years we'll be able to have a baby of our own -- reading your blog is such inspiration in so many ways. I hope you don't mind that I've syndicated your blog to our Livejournal so we can keep reading. :)
