10 things
This beautiful scrapbook template went on sale this weekend at my favorite digital scrapbooking store, Designer Digitals. Throughout the weekend I've watched Designer Digitals fans post their pages into the gallery. Some of the pages were of their kids, some of themselves or spouses. And some were of things like their hobbies.
Always the joiner, I wanted to play along. So today as I ran about, I made a mental list of 10 things about Kylie right now:
1. You want us to call you by your name. If we say something like sweetie or darling, you’ll say, “I’m not sweetie; I’m Kylie”.
2. Your favorite stuffed animal is your pink Nanna bear. You play with her throughout the day and she always sleeps with you at night. Dress-up bear is your second favorite.
3. You are obsessed with The Little Mermaid. Several times a day, you want us to chase you in a circle as the song “Poor Unfortunate Souls” plays from Mommy’s Itunes library on her computer in the family room. You want us to laugh like Ursula. You quote lines from the movie all day.
4. Your favorite tv show is Little Einsteins. You like Sesame Street as well. And you just started watching, My Friends Tigger and Pooh.
5. You like to serve pretend tea with your tea set- always with cream and sugar.
6. You like to play the “wrong guess” game, especially with colors. Is this red? No. Is this black? No. You know your colors quite well but sometimes you confuse blue and purple.
7. You’ll drink a Capri-Sun juice box in the car after we finish one of your classes- swim, art, music or gymboree class. You call it it your special juice. You never spill it and you usually say, “Ta-dah” when you finish it.
8. You are polite; you say please and thank you all the time. You can be quite bossy too.
9. You like to hold your head under the bathtub faucet as the water runs out. You saw a video of a cat do that on cuteoverload.com and thought it was hilarious so you do it now too. You’ll also pour a full cup of water over your head in the tub.
10. As we dry you off from your bath, we recite the “Now I lay me” prayer. You know about half of the words and you like to say “Amen” with emphasis. We sing Barney’s “I love you” song as we tuck you in to sleep.
So there we go. Just a quick list of 10 things but one I bet we will look back on in the years to come. What are your ten things right now?
Here is another scrapbook page I finished this weekend. It's from some pictures I took back in April.

I plan to take our huge pile of library books back and pick up some new ones. Thank you for your book recommendations. Kylie loved:
Caps for Sale by Slobodkina (this one is on our buy list.)
Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems
Sheep in a Jeep by Nancy Shaw
Silly Sally by Audrey Wood
I'm the Biggest Thing in the Ocean by Kevin Sherry
Kylie asked Karen and I to read her these books over and over.
She liked these books too but but got a bit distracted as I read them.
Olivia Saves the Circus by Ian Falconer
What time Is It Mr. Crocodile? by Judy Sierra
Paddington by Michael Bond
Corduroy by Don Freeman
I think the books (Spoon, Little Oink, Yes Day, It's Not Fair) by Amy Krouse Rosenthal are quite clever but they didn't hold Kylie's attention at all. We'll try them again later.
I suppose that's enough lists for now. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I LOVE that scrapbook page and the template. I did something similar when Mateo was 11 months old. Mateo goes around quoting "Little Einsteins" all the time. It's hilarious to hear him walking around going "This is unbelievable!"
Wonderful list! Hmm... now I'm inspired to write a top 10! =)
Hope to see you soon. Adam saw Tigger on TV and started talking about Kylie and the kitty cat in the closet (I guess he got that confused with your laundry room?!?)... the things kids remember!!! =)
I love this post...it's things like this that we want to remember as moms and pass on to our kiddos when they're older. And, of course, the pictures of Kiley are beautiful, as always!
Kylie's top ten list is so cute-- she will love seeing those when she is older.
Oh, I loved the cat video--- I laughed out loud!
