Ten things to treasure

Kylie still sucks on her fingers when she's asleep and for a few minutes after she wakes up from her nap.

She loves to make piles of books. She'll ask me to read the top 2 or 3. And then she moves on to something else. And then, in a few minutes, she makes another pile. At the end of the day, many of her books from her bookshelf are in piles all over the place. On the one hand, I'm thrilled that she loves her books and wants me to read to her often. On the other hand, the piles make me a little crazy.

She has a new Kettler trike complete with foot holders and she is doing great at really pedaling (rather than holding her feet on the pedals and pretending to pedal as I pushed her along). Love her trademark mushed-in lips of concentration here.

She loves right-from-the-fridge crunchy carrots. Up until now, I've steamed them a bit to make them soft. But her chompers are handling the crunchy ones just fine.

She wants to share her food with us all the time. She is constantly offering us bites of her meal. It reminds me of a part of the story line of this fiction book.

She confuses hot and cold. Today in the car she said, "I'm really cold from the playground. I want to go in to warm off (she meant "cool off").

Kylie has been potty-trained for over a year. Yet she still wears a nap-time diaper. And even though she poops in the potty, she also poops in that diaper during naptime. The good news is that I haven't been greeted with a poopy diaper in over two weeks (knocking on wood here!).

She loves to play a round of puppy pals bingo or wash & dry bingo before leaving for school in the morning.

She has mentioned many of the boys in her classroom (she said Ian was her favorite school friend) but hardly any girls.

She is such a creative, loving, funny, delightful girl. Here she is jumping into her pillows and stuffed animals wearing her bunny parachute. I just love her!

She has such inventive play, I wonder what she would get up to with a sibling?

What a nice idea! She's so sweet and I'm always so jealous of the quality of your pictures.
