The next day, she drew these two pictures. She handed them to me and said, "That's the hurt finger" pointing to the yellow and orange spikes around the one hand.


I've heard about psychotherapists using art to help a person process their emotions. I think it's pretty cool that Kylie made a drawing showing her pain. And the cut on her finger healed just fine.

so sea world was great? angele wanted to go but i said i'd rather go to discovery cove another time when riley's at least 6 and we can do the cool things there.
Yep. That's me. I'm an art therapist. Well, technically, I'm a teacher, but my first degree is is art therapy. :) I love the resiliency in Kylie's pictures-- I've got a hurt finger, but I'm still all smiles and rainbows!
