The reason I blog is to document my days, to share my thoughts and feelings, and to post pictures for friends and family to enjoy. I love reading people's comments on this blog. I like knowing that there is someone out there who says, "I see you."
For those of you who comment often--thank you. It means more to me than I can express.
For those of you lurking--this would be a good time to de-lurk. Just say "Hi there" or "Good post" or "Nice picture" or something.
It takes time and energy to create even the smallest of posts. It would be lovely for you to send some of that energy back. It would be helpful to me.
Thanks.
-Wendy

We are sending a big HI to you ladies and your sweet adorable little Kylie!
Hi Wendy!
Thanks for calling out your lurkers: it is about time I respond to one of your entries! I've been reading since just before you gave birth, so a little while now. My partner and I started our own TTC journey a few months ago, but we're on a break for a couple of months, so I'm reading a lot of blogs to pass the time. Your blog has proven to be one of my favorites in the family of lesbian parenting/TTC blogs. You have a beautiful family, and the three of you are an inspiration to my partner and I. Thank you. :-)
I am a lurker and have commented before, but you still don't know who I am. I read every day, and love the cute little pictures. Kylie is so cute and looks just like you guys.
Hello from the midwest! I have also commented before, but not often. I think Kylie is adorable and have loved the last couple of outfits--the "watermelon" outfit, the "sunshine" and this "alphabet outfit too. Love them. I know what you mean about comments. I specifically set up my blog to "journal" the everyday things, big moments, and everything in between, BUT, I still look to see if anyone comments!
Howdy! Been lurking for quite a while too! Thanks for calling us out - love your blog, and the pics!
hahaha...way to get lurkers like myself to comment - tell them to comment.
anywho, I think your family is adorable & I love reading the blog :-)
I always enjoy hearing your perspectives on parenthood and life - and, of course, seeing the photos of Kylie!
I've been reading your entries for awhile and check them every day to see how much Kylie has grown. Plus I love her little Carter clothes.
I will no longer lurk, but post comments as well. :)
I read everyday (sometimes twice a day) and I am sorry that I do not comment as much as I used to. I love opening your blog and seeing your beautiful family. Thank you so much for sharing your family with bloggerland and for taking time out of your very busy day to keep us updated. Promise to work on commenting more.
hi-I'm a lurker-I have a 17 month old daughter from prs. She is my pride and joy.
I think Kylie has got to be one of the cutest babies!! I like reading your blog. It is one of very few I still read. You should know, a little one keeps you very busy.
I'm a lurker from Australia, and I no longer remember how I found you guys. I do remember that when I did, I went back and read your blog from the very beginning. Now I'm hooked :) I love the photos of Kylie - she is such a sweet little thing and looking at her makes my ovaries hurt! Promise to comment in the future, and thanks for sharing your story.
Wendy & Karen,
I'm such a lurker! Shame on me for not saying hi sooner. I enjoy stopping by and reading Kylie's adventures and seeing all the beautiful pics you take.
Take care,
Stephanie from Ohio
Also a lurker from the midwest. I can't even remember how I found your blog!! :)
I love reading your entries and of course, looking at the beautiful pictures of Kylie. (Also of your house, it is gorgeous!)
Wendy, You are so good to call out those of us that lurk. I have been lurking for a while. I love to read about other lesbian couples who have been successful with TTC. My partner and I have been together 16 years and are currently in our 5th cycle TTC. You are an inspiration. I love the pics of Kylie and you are both such wonderful parents. I also love to scrapbook so I also enjoyed the scrapbooking pictures. Thanks for sharing your journey with those of us you don't know.
Okay, I'll de-lurk. I've read your story for months now.
I live in Eastern Oregon (the hot and dry side of the state) and came across your blog through RSG. I love your story and admire you two moms very much.
Best wishes always....

We are kinda lurkers. We respond from time to time. Mostly, we are jealous that you have the cutest baby. We hope to have one of our own someday soon. Thanks for sharing everything with all of us.
Hi! I've been lurking for a while but have never commented. I found your blog on lesbianfamily.org and I too went back and read from the very beginning. You have the cutest family and Kylie is just gorgeous.I look forward to checking in and seeing new pictures of her, she is getting so big. I promise to comment from now on!

Kylie is gorgeous. i love her hair.. and she has gotten so big!!
Hi,
I found your blog through the PLOP website and enjoy reading it because Kylie was born two days before our son Mateo and they always seem to be going through the same things. Your blog actually inspired me to start the one I write, so thanks. Hope to meet you guys one of these days at a PLOP gathering. We've missed the last two (vacation and other commitments)

Hi Wendy! As always, Kylie is GORGEOUS!

Hi Wendy and Karen...
Greetings from San Diego. I'll be back in Portland tomorrow, but for now, I am sure enjoying the beautiful skyline. Of course, I love P Land for completely different reasons. :) Hope you are enjoying your family time back together.
I love your post Wendy. I may have to "borrow it" to see if anyone actually looks at our blog. I feel a lot the same way as you do. I am so glad that you got so many responses. You go girl!! Thanks for always being such a wonderful commenter and friend.
Love,
Heather
I'm a lurker. My son is just about the same age (born 4/21) and yours is one of the blogs I follow of babies born around the same time. It's fun to see them all grow and change.

Delurking..
Hello from NY, my partner and I have been reading you since before Kylie was born, and we just love the pictures of her and your wonderful posts. :)
We have been reading your site since before Kylie was born. My partner and I are from the Portland area with a 13th month old little girl (Simone). We love seeing how much your little one is growing!
We are also both from the south. I am from Georgia and Robin is from Tennessee (go VOLS!)
I hear you, Wendy! It is so encouraging to get comments, especially when you're sharing the most important things in your life! I miss seeing you in the shop. I'd love to know how your knitting is coming along, too. What a lovely family you are.
Kylie is a beautiful baby with two smart moms. I love your blog and it was a big inspiration to me during my long (1 year) ttc journey. Now I'm pregnant with a PRS baby too, and I love to check out Kylie's latest pictures and wonder what my little one will look like when she's born in February.
I'm a lurker too! My partner and I live in Portland and hope to start our journey to parenthood soon. In the meantime I check your blog every day. It is such an inspiration and your family is so beautiful.
*de-lurk*
I'm just another one of those blog readers who has been following your amazing journey. I orginally found your blog through Estelle's blog who I know from car-seat.org.
I'm a fellow portlander and will hopefully be a lesbian mom someday.
Thank you for sharing your story, it gives me hope for my future and the future of queer parents everywhere.
And yes, Kylie is so totally adorable
Bonjour from Paris!
I'm Heather's cousin, Holly. I enjoy the cute Kylie pictures.
Always reading, sometimes rushing through and not commenting. The pictures always put a smile on my face.
I guess we fall under the lurker category. We've been following your blog since last fall. We did write a congrats comment when Kylie was born!!
We found your blog via The Other Mother.
We're in Boston and have been TTC since January 2006. Today, happily pregnant at almost 10 weeks!!
We just enjoy reading your blog -- gaining some insight about two mom parenting. And of course we love watching Kylie grow. She is simply adorable.
Will try to comment more often!
Im guilty...of lurking that is!! not sure how I found your site, but have been following since before Kylie was born...she is absolutely beautiful...
Steph from Indy
Been reading since you went to PRS for sperm...check in on you every day. I appreciate the posts!
Hey Wendy!!!
I'm an official lurker...I love to see all the great pictures of your sweet Kylie!!

Hi,
I delurked on your last entry, but wanted to join the chorus of voices here, because your blog means so much to me. (I found you at icallherjohn.blogspot.com)
I've been shy about documenting my adventures in ttc, mostly because I'm superstitious. Your blog, however, makes me realize that talking about lesbian parenting is an important way to build community and visibility and that it's worth taking a risk and opening oneself up.
Oh, and I'm a HUGE fan of Tennessee's women's basketball team. (I have Pat Summitt and last year's championship team's autographs, written on a seat cushion, hanging over my desk!) Go Lady Vols!
My partner and I can't get enough of your blog - you are our favorite two mom family in blog-land. We find the kindness and care with which you describe one another and your family incredibly sweet. We have our first try this month - hopefully your luck will wear off!
Delurking after a short break. Sometimes I feel I comment TOO much. I remember the first time I commented and how I worried about how you and your readers would respond. (Please don’t hate me for being straight!) Guess I've gotten over that fear (mostly) :)
You've probably heard my story before but I started reading your blog after finding on Babes in Blogland that you had a due date close to mine. Your blog became an instant favorite. I love how you and Karen write about your pregnancy and now about motherhood. You remind me of all the simple joys that I sometimes take for granted. Equally inspiring is how you write about the love you have for your partner (and she for you).
Of course, the adorable photos of Kylie are a nice draw as well. ;)
i love your blog and all the gorgeous photos!
I am a lurker and have commented here before. Your daughter and FAMILY is beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing.
Hi there - I'm late to the party but was on vacation when you posted this. I've thought about commenting many times but haven't because I realized that they would all be, "OMG, OMG, OMG - SHE'S SO FRIGGIN ADORABLE!!!"
Seriously though, I love your blog and check it daily (at least). I found you through RSG and then found several other "baby blogs" that I follow through your blogroll. I take this to mean that my biological clock is finally ticking. Great news, since my partner has high hopes for many little ones after we've completed our MBA and traveled a bit. :-)
Thank you for taking the time to blog and post pictures. I do appreciate it even if I don't comment much (I'll be better). Oh and, OMG, SHE'S SO FRIGGIN ADORABLE!
I'm taking my first VERY tentative steps out of lurkdom. I'm not quite sure how I stumbled upon your amazing blog but I suppose that it was a mere seven degrees of separation from somewhere! I've been with my partner for 10 years but we are so far in the closet...we are the insulation behind the drywall in the very back of the closet! It is how it is...for now. I have truly enjoyed reading your story but what I find truly inspiring is the amazing connection that the two of you have. It was so evident pre-Kylie but even more so now. The affection and respect that you have for each other is a beautiful thing to see and, even though I've never met you, I would consider you one of the most loving couples I know. It is so nice to see two (three) people so truly happy. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing journey with the world.
You are my heroes.
