Squirrel love

Kylie was enjoying an afternoon snack of cottage cheese, mandarin oranges and bits of blueberry waffle when she spotted a squirrel outside.

The ever-generous Kylie offered him a bite of her cottage cheese.

And then a bite of orange.

When both were refused, she offered him a kiss.

The squirrel decided he had loafed around enough and it was time to get back to hoarding away nuts. As he scurried away, Kylie waved him good-bye.

I swear. None of this was staged. This kiddo delights me everyday.

I think she delights many of your "followers" as well. It is always such a joy to read about your days with Kylie. Enjoy all of them.

She is so cute. Those are the cutest curls I have ever seen. Does she get those from you? Does she actually get food scooped on her spoon? My little boy just turned 16 months and try as he might, he can't get it on there very well.

Great kissy face! How can you not smooch it!

It's wonderful that you managed to capture the entire series! I feel a scrapbook page coming... :)

Hey Bethany. Thanks for your comment. Kylie has just started to get the wrist action needed to feed herself with a spoon (she almost 18 months). Cottage cheese, yogurt and applesauce are doable for her. She's still struggling with fruit. She's cute about fruit bites though. She'll pick it a piece of fruit with her fingers, put it on the spoon and then eat it. Some days she'll let me feed her with a fork or spoon. Other days she insists on doing it herself which makes mealtimes longer and messier.
