Bento lunches week of 8/9
Garbanzo beans, pretzel sticks, granola bar, chocolate-covered plum bites, cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes.
I want to get some nifty food separators when I go to CA but for now, I cut up an old placemat (making sure that I curved the corners and that there were no sharp edges) to use in bentos. This lunch had turkey slices, a few craisins, broccoli slaw (which Kylie told me she didn't like), circle cut carrots (which she loved), blue corn chips, grapes and a gummi butterfly.
Ham sandwich on rye bread, pirate booty, watermelon, pineapple, blueberries.
Triscuit crackers and cheese, trix cereal, pretzels, craisins, circle-cut carrots, diced celery and peppers.
Frozen peas, cheese cubes, diced dried apricots, blue corn chips, grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe.

Yay! Love the bento lunch posts.
What did Kylie think of the garbanzo beans? BTW, you've inspired me to do something (not-quite-so) cool like this for my soon to be 1st grader. I ordered a goodbyn for him.
Hey I'm still loving your posts and photos - it's one of my first tasks of the morning when I come into work. I'm really interested in the bento boxes. This is the first I've heard of them (coming from the UK) and wondered if you could explain in basic terms the idea behind them and where you got the cool boxes from. I think they're great and would like to start making something similar for my little boy now he's eating finger foods. Many thanks, Clare
You should do a bento lunch box blog! These are gorgeous shots!
