Letterboxing

Since school was out on Monday, Kylie and I decided to go letterboxing at a nearby park. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Kylie found the Eagle Scout Map which was one of our clues.

We saw lots of woodpeckers along the way.

I'm wary when the letterbox clues have you in a wooded area and tell you "look for a stump and then look for a log". We looked around two stump/log combinations before we found the correct one on the third try.

It's always a relief to find the box. And it's fun to see the hand-carved stamp.

We stamp the letterbox stamp onto our book and pages. Then we stamp our three-star family stamp into the guestbook.

Mostly we love letterboxing because it takes us to new parks. It gets us out of the house and into the fresh air and sunshine.

Kylie was asking me if we could return and ride our bikes around the paved trails.

Kiddo found a good climbing tree.

Our girl loves trees.

It was a good letterboxing day!
