A full circle at the tulip farm

Last year on a Saturday, Karen and I went to the Woodburn tulip farm. I looked like this:

We had a really good day that day. I was cracking up at people's looks. "My gosh that woman looks ready to burst" was behind the expressions I saw. And I was BIG. REALLY, BIG! When we got home and I looked at the photos, I noticed that my lips were blue.

On that Monday, I went into labor. And on Tuesday 4/17, Kylie was born.

We went back to the tulip farm. And now I look like this:

It's amazing to me how so much can change in one year.

We went to the tulip farm a week early this year and the tulips weren't all in full bloom. But we did manage to get some good photos.

(I can hear my Dad now. "Why on earth would you put my grand-daughter in a large, photo-opportunity shoe?" Sorry Daddy. Had to do it.)

I hope going to the tulip farm will be a family tradition for many years to come. It can be muddy at the farm and we saw many children jumping around in the mud wearing galoshes. Next year, I'm going to ask Kylie to wear galoshes. Can you imagine how much she'll change this year?

It amazes me the difference a year can make.

That place is beautiful!

And yeah, these days I find myself thinking quite often "a year ago I was about to pop" etc.

Isn't it crazy? I look at Chicka and find myself dumbfounded by the changes this past year has brought to my life.

Beautiful pictures, individually and as a family. I think that going to the Tulip Farm would be a sweet annual tradition.

These are so amazing. She is too cute. I did the same thing with a pumpkin patch. Love it.
