Thank you

Thank you to those of you who gave me your opinion on the gym matter. I'm keeping the gym membership but not planning on taking Kylie. I plan on getting to the gym at least 3 times a week for some heavy cardio and resistance training.

I'll also continue my frequent walks with Kylie in her stroller. We have a lovely neighborhood for stroller walks, with a walking/biking trail just 1/2 a mile away. But I've found that even when I walk quickly with her, up hills and such and even with the extra resistance with the stroller, it's still not enough to get my heart rate in that zone where weight loss can occur. But the stroller walks are great for weight maintenance. I just need to do a little more to get some pounds off.

Karen and I do have a babysitter/nanny who comes for four hours twice a month. But we usually use that time as "date time" or to do appointments like getting our hair cut.

So it's going to be a challenge to get to the gym but Karen's going to help and I'll just suck it up and go at night like so many other people do.

Thanks again for your comments. It really helped me to hear from you.

And now here are a few pictures!

Her hair looks like it is getting curly!! Se's so cute!
I have the same problem with the gy, as the nighttime is really the only time that I can get to the gym, and of course I am exhausted because I have worked all day. Then the gy doesnt have day care all day on the weekends.. which I do not understand. They only have it from 8-11 in the morning. !!!

All of those pictures of Kylie are just AMAZING. She is so beautiful, that hair and those eyes! I wish Thaya and Kylie weren't so far away from each other, I can see from those pictures that they would get along great!

Wendy.....what kind of camera are you using? And she's getting so big.
Glad to see you're able to work out the gym situation.
I remember when our kids were younger.....it's just tweakin here and tweakin there. Finding something that's good for everyone.
Before you know it....she'll be 30 and living in Chicago.
But, I'm not bitter (or missing her)!!!!

Love the photo of her in the hat with the flowers and her year baby book page...those colors! The vivid green grass and the blue in her romper (that matches her eyes) are absolutely beautiful! I can relate about the need for removal of poundage and I have a significant amount to shed. I have a membership at Curves that I put on hold during my pregnancy and they started charging me again last month so I need to decide what to do. As it is, I don't get home from work until around 6pm and Maddie goes to bed between 7 and 7:30 so I'd hardly see her if I went after work. I'm thinking of giving up my lunches and going then since it's only a 30 minute workout and it's close to work. I could then just eat something quick and healthy at my desk afterwards. You'll figure out what works for you and it's good that Karen is agreeable to helping you out. Best of luck!

Hi,
My partner and I are active on BabyCenter and a fellow GLBT poster pointed me to your blog b/c our daughters look so similar. Just wondering if you used CCB and checking to see if we perhaps used the same one! If you check out the BabyCenter GLBT parenting boards there are pics of her (Erika) with her new glasses... Anyway, I wanted to say hi - love all your photos and your blog. Kylie is so pretty!
